Overview
This page explains how ListingsPlanet, Inc. responds to Global Privacy Control (GPC) and other browser-based “Do Not Track” or “Do Not Sell or Share” signals, and summarizes your choices regarding the sale or sharing of your personal information.
Some privacy laws, including the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) as amended, give residents of certain jurisdictions the right to opt out of the sale or sharing of their personal information and to limit the use of certain data for targeted advertising.
What Is Global Privacy Control?
Global Privacy Control (GPC) is a browser or device setting, or an extension or application, that allows you to send an automated signal to websites you visit indicating that you want to opt out of certain data processing, such as the sale or sharing of your personal information for targeted advertising.
When your browser or device is configured to send a valid GPC signal, that signal is sent with every request your browser makes to our website.
How ListingsPlanet Responds to GPC Signals
When we detect a valid GPC signal from your browser or device, we treat it as a request to opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information for that browser or device, to the extent required by applicable law.
This means that for the browser or device where the GPC signal is enabled, we will:
- Stop using third-party cookies or similar technologies on our site for the purpose of selling or sharing your personal information for targeted advertising, where feasible.
- Treat the signal as a “Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information” request associated with that browser or device.
This automatic setting applies only to the specific browser or device that sends the GPC signal. If you use multiple browsers or devices, you will need to enable GPC (or other applicable settings) on each one separately to apply the same preferences.
Do Not Track (DNT) Signals
Some browsers also offer a “Do Not Track” (DNT) setting. Because there is no consistent industry standard for how to interpret DNT signals, ListingsPlanet does not currently respond to DNT in a uniform way.
Instead, we honor GPC and other signals that are specifically recognized by privacy regulations as opt-out mechanisms for the sale or sharing of personal information.
Your Choices and Opt-Out Options
You can control certain data collection and advertising practices in the following ways:
- Enable a GPC signal in your browser or by using a supported extension or privacy control tool.
- Adjust your browser settings to block or delete cookies and other tracking technologies.
- Use advertising industry opt-out tools, where available in your region, to limit interest-based advertising.
- Contact us using the information in our Privacy Policy to exercise additional privacy rights that may be available to you, such as the right to access or delete your information.
Please note that if you clear your cookies, change browsers, or use a different device, you may need to reapply your preferences or ensure that your GPC signal is still enabled.
Limitations and Third-Party Services
Some third-party tools or services that we use on our site may independently collect information about you or your device. These third parties may have their own ways of interpreting and honoring GPC or other opt-out signals. We encourage you to review their privacy policies and settings.
Where required by law, we contractually restrict our service providers from using the personal information they receive from us for purposes other than providing services to ListingsPlanet.
